International Summit for Sustainable Transportation Links Between Europe and Central Asia

The Global Gateway Transport Investors Forum builds upon the findings of the study commissioned by the European Union on Sustainable Transport Corridors between the EU and Central Asia. It seeks to transform the political promises made by the EU and the five Central Asian countries to strengthen connectivity into concrete and achievable outcomes.

The gathering unites distinguished representatives from Central Asian nations, EU Member States, partner countries along the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor, EU institutions, international and bilateral financial organizations, along with participants from the private sector and members of civil society at a high level.

Globally, challenges related to inadequate infrastructure, environmental degradation, and limited access to healthcare and education transcend international boundaries. Acknowledging this reality, the European Union's Global Gateway strategy establishes connections between countries and regions worldwide. The strategy promotes both public and private investments in a comprehensive global network encompassing transportation and supply chains, green energy, modern telecommunications, education, and research. A key focus is on fostering sustainable development and upholding European values, including principles such as good governance, transparency, and equal partnership
