Can Brendan McLoughlin, Miranda Lambert's Husband, Earn Royalties from Co-Writing Her Song "D*mmit Randy"? An Exploration

Miranda Lambert has found a co-songwriter in her husband, Brendan McLoughlin. The former NYC policeman, 32, seems to be tracing his path from cop to country music by collaborating with his Grammy Award-winning country singer wife on her song "D*mmit Randy." According to an insider from In Touch Weekly, McLoughlin could potentially earn a substantial payout if the song becomes as popular as many of Miranda Lambert's hits typically do.

"Brendan had ideas for songs before, but Miranda finally invited him in as a full songwriting partner," the insider revealed in an article published on Tuesday, July 16. "If the song makes it to No. 1, as most of Miranda’s songs do, Brendan could pocket $200,000 or more in royalties!" The source further explained that Brendan, being too young to retire and live solely off Miranda’s earnings, is eager to establish his own career. "He wants a career too," the tipster added.

Miranda Lambert debuted the song at a June 29 concert in Midland, Texas, marking the beginning of what could be a successful songwriting partnership between her and her husband
